ABOUT NICK My football passion started at grassroots level with local clubs, Connells Point Rovers and Carss Park. Being noticed by many of my coaches, I was soon selected to play in the St.George Representative team. My first memorable achievement was scoring 64 goals in a season with the under 13 rep side. Selected to represent N.S.W, winning 2 Australian Titles and top scorer for 3 seasons. At 15, I toured Italy with Marconi Fairfield playing against various Italian opposition. Coaches and team mates alike were ecstatic with our results. My hunger and drive for International football was heightened. I was rewarded being selected to represent my country in the world cup in Japan 93. This experience was a dream come true, making it to the QF but losing to eventual winners Nigeria, against world class players such as Nwanko Kanu, Celestine Babayaro and Sammi Koffour. Francesco Totti and Gianluigi Buffon were also prominent in that world cup. 1994 – played for N.S.W Schoolboys, winning the Australian title and becoming top scorer, also voted Australia’s best schoolboy player. 1995 – played for the Australian Schoolboys tour of South-America scoring a hat-trick against Chile and being top goal scorer of the tournament. Played for Marconi Fairfield, Sydney United, R.F.C.Liege in Belgium and I.F.K Norrkoping in Sweden, a total of 12 seasons both here and abroad. Through football, I've gained many friends from all over the world and wanting to give back to the Football community, created NB9 so that I could provide more opportunities for young talented players to further their Football career.
